Where are our shirts made?
We have our own production facility in Hanoi, Vietnam where our team of skilled tailors hand-make each and every shirt.
How sustainable is our product?
At ShirtbyHand we constantly strive to be sustainable. All of our fabric suppliers have to comply with strict rules in their production processes. Any chemicals and other liquids used to process our fabrics have to be reused and not discarded as waste. Our supplier has been working with a small number of cotton producers whom they inspect regularly to ensure the production is fair and the workers are well-treated.
What are the working conditions in our factory?
The ShirtbyHand Production Company employs 60 staff in excellent working conditions (air-conditioning, new machines, and light, spacious rooms). Our colleagues have a 45-hour working week, get paid for overtime and our youngest tailor is 19 years old. Their salary is 20% higher than the industry standard. Due to the excellent working conditions and competitive salaries, we are able to retain the best people in the region. Customers visiting Hanoi are more than welcome to visit us, to see why we are so proud of the team that makes the shirts our customers love so much.
Where are we based?
ShirtbyHand HQ is based in Amsterdam in the Netherlands. From this headquarter we contact our customers, we process the orders and manage our tailors in Vietnam.

What is the difference between the weaves?
Using only the most comfortable materials, our shirts are made of 100% cotton with a two-ply weave, resulting in more durability. Continuously sourcing and testing new fabrics, we guarantee top quality at all times.
Are all our fabrics easy to iron?
All of our fabrics have an easy-iron finish which reduces creasing and shortens ironing time. They are designed for heavy use so they can be washed many times with no harm to the fabric. You want your shirts to make you look and feel great all day and our luxury finish ensures just that.
How does the perfect fit guarantee work?
We always strive for 100% satisfaction. If you have any problems with your shirt or sizes, please get in touch by mail or chat so we can solve it for you. If you would like to update your measurements please email us and we will update your online account for you. As soon as new sizes are applied to your profile you can proceed with a new order.
What is our return policy?
Since our shirts are tailored our return policy is slightly different than the policies you are used to. You have up to 90 days to let us know of any issues. If you have any complaints about your shirt, let us know. We will always make sure that you are 100% satisfied with your order. If you would like to update your measurements please chat or email us and we will update your online account for you. Small changes can also be made online in your personal measurements. Once this is completed you can proceed with a new order.
How long will it take before I receive my order?
All shirts are delivered to your door within 3 weeks. All shirts are hand-made to order. None of our shirts are made from a standard pattern.

We ship worldwide.
Are there shipping costs?
Within the UK the shipping costs are 25 pounds per order. For the rest of the world, we do charge for shipping (the cost depends on the country)
How does our Algorithm work?
We have created an algorithm that uses real measurements from 30,000 different body types in our database. Through 4 questions we should be able to determine your sizes with near-perfect accuracy. Should you be unfortunate that the shirt does not fit, we will make you a new one free of charge.
What is the difference between the types of personal fit?
Are my sizes stored and how do I re-order?
Once you have placed an order with us, your sizes are stored in our system and in your personal account. You can re-order on the same sizes or tweak your sizes before ordering again.
